Christmas Gift Guide 2023 – Something For Everyone

AD | This post features products that have been gifted to me in exchange for inclusion in this gift guide. All opinions are honest and my own.

Christmas is right around the corner – have you done your Christmas shopping yet? I’ve been picking up a few bits for family and friends since September but I’ve been so busy I’m yet to specifically go out Christmas shopping. Much as it’s lovely to browse the shops in this festive season, with lights, decorations and Christmas music playing, I think most of my gift purchases will be online this year because it’s so much quicker.

In this Christmas gift guide I’ll be featuring some of my favourite brands that I’ll be buying gifts from this year, as well as sharing some items that have been gifted to me. They are all very varied so I’ve categorised them by the type of person they might suit. So if you’re looking for present inspiration for all those different people in your life, sit back, relax and take a look at these gift ideas.

Christmas Gift Guide 2023 – Something For Everyone

For the eco conscious – a bag from Cycle of Good

Cycle of Good is an amazing initiative that employs over 500 people in Malawi to make beautiful, high-quality products out of recycled materials that would otherwise go to waste. They kindly gifted me three gorgeous bags to include in this gift guide, and I think they would make such a great present for anyone because bags are such useful items. They would be especially appreciated by anyone who is into eco-conscious, sustainable living, which in this day and age, more and more people rightly are! Let’s take a look at the bags.

Recycled Coffee Sack & Inner Tube Shopper Bag

This shopping bag is made from recycled coffee sacks and the handles are made from recycled inner tubes from bicycles! The fact that these bags are made from recycled coffee sacks means that each one is completely unique, with a different design on it. I love the feeling of having a completely unique item – it makes it feel more special. The handles feel so strong and the whole bag is sturdy and well made – I can see it lasting for many years. I absolutely love this bag and I think it would make such a beautiful gift.

Recycled Lorry Curtain Tote Bag – The Martha

The Martha tote bag is made from recycled lorry curtains, which are waterproof and very durable. This makes it a very strong bag! Like the shopping bag above, the handles are made of recycled inner tubes. This bag is completely washable because of the materials used. Despite being such a tough bag, it is so stylish too, and I love the blue colour. It is a roomy bag, great for carrying everyday essentials or shopping. A great gift for anyone!

Recycled Inner Tube Wash Bag

As the name suggests, this wash bag is made from recycled inner tubes from bicycles. I think it’s such a cool way to recycle a waste product and it creates such a practical wash bag because it is waterproof! I think this wash bag has a masculine look so it would be a great gift for the male or masculine person in your life who might need to upgrade their wash bag. It also makes a good leather alternative for vegans as it has that leather look but is of course made of rubber.

I’ve loved discovering Cycle of Good and their amazing products – there’s something so satisfying about old inner tubes, coffee sacks and lorry curtains being turned into something new and functional.

For the fashionista – sweater dress from Ever-Pretty

Christmas and New Year is a time of many parties, some very casual and some a bit more ‘glam’. Many people enjoy dressing up for the occasion! If you know a loved one’s size and style, you could treat them to an item of clothing suitable for this time of year, whether a fancy dress or something warm and cosy.

Ever-Pretty UK is a stylish fashion brand with a focus on dresses, and they allowed me to pick out one dress to feature in this gift guide. I opted for this Bodycon Sweater Dress in the colour black, because, a) it looked so cosy and perfect for this time of year, and b) since I was ordering online, I thought there was a higher chance of it being a good fit than a fancier dress would have been. It’s also such a versatile piece – it can be worn as part of an everyday, casual outfit, as well as dressed up with glitzy accessories for a party.

When I tried on the dress, I was so pleased with how it looked and felt. I ordered it in a size 10 which is my normal size, and the fit was perfect. I like how the sleeves are slightly puffed – it makes a nice contrast with the fitted shape. The thing I really love about this dress is that it is so warm and cosy! Perfect for keeping me warm in the colder weather without feeling I need to layer up too much. I will be getting so much use out of this dress over Christmas and New Year, and to be honest, probably right into the Spring!

A simple but stylish piece like this sweater dress would be the perfect present for a fashion lover, and it doubles up as something practical that will keep them warm. Ever-Pretty has hundreds of different dresses to suit every style and taste, so do check them out to find the perfect dress for the fashionista in your life.

For the health conscious – Y SKIN supplements

If you know a skincare lover or anyone close to you who is struggling with their skin, Y SKIN supplements could be a great gift idea. I’m currently working on a full review of these supplements, but in short, they can help improve your skin by balancing your gut microbiome. This has positive effects throughout your body but these supplements specifically target your skin. The supplements are rather expensive at £49.99 for a 30-day supply, but if they are within your gifting budget it would be a good way to treat someone who is wanting to try them but didn’t want to splash out themselves.

For the chocoholic – FATSO chocolate

Earlier this year I featured FATSO chocolate in a blog post about reasons to eat and enjoy dark chocolate. You can read that post to learn more about them, but in short, they are an ethical, sustainable brand that produces the most delicious, chunky dark chocolate bars. Having tried them myself, I can vouch that they are amazing! Chocolate might seem like quite a basic gift idea, but if you go for a speciality brand like FATSO, it’s anything but basic. FATSO chocolate is going to be my go-to gift for the chocolate lovers in my life this year.

For the sporty one – Rooster dry bag

If you know someone who is into sports, why not get them some sports gear that will come in useful for their particular sport? For example, if they are into water sports, you could get them a dry bag. Earlier this year I reviewed a Rooster dry bag in a post about fun beach activities. It may be a bit cold for the beach at the moment, but when the weather warms up in the Spring, the sporty one in your life will be able to make good use of your gift.

For the gadget lover – toilet light

Back in the summer I wrote about the ToiLight toilet light, which, as the name suggests, is a light you attach to your toilet. It detects motion in the dark and switches on to illuminate your toilet, making it easy to see what you are doing. This idea would make a fun stocking filler for literally anyone, because who doesn’t sometimes need to get up to go to the toilet in the night? It’s a silly but genuinely useful little gadget.

Wrapping up – pun intended!

This has certainly been a varied gift guide and I hope it’s given you some inspiration for what to buy for the varied people in your life. Did any of the ideas in this post appeal to you? Do you have any go-to brands for Christmas gifts? Let’s chat below in the comments!
