The Ultimate Packing List for Your Trip or Holiday

When I first started going on trips away as a teenager, I made a list of things I would need to pack. I have kept and used the same packing list ever since. Every time I have needed to bring a different item with me, I have added it to the list, which has got progressively longer over the years. It means I have a list of everything I could possibly need to remember to bring, although of course, I won’t need to bring every item on every trip.

I have this list written out by hand on squared paper, and I tick items off as I pack them (using a new column for each trip), or put a dash if I don’t need to bring them. Having a re-usable list makes it so much easier when packing. It saves me writing out a new list each time, and it’s reassuring to know that I won’t forget any important items!

I have written my packing list out in a more logical order here. In my handwritten version, it is in the order in which I thought of / added the items to the list, which is not the most logical! I’ve also generalised a few items which are very specific to me. Also, some items are obviously more suited to warm weather, and some to the cold. I hope my list will be helpful and inspire you to make your own!
