Today I felt like doing a jigsaw, so I checked in the cupboards to see if we had any Autumnal ones. I found a 500 piece puzzle that was clearly set in the Autumn because the trees in the picture had bright orange leaves! Perfect.
I cleared off my desk and made a start. First I laid out the pieces, separating the edges from the rest. Then I put the edges together first before filling in the rest of the jigsaw. I won’t go into any more detail because I’m sure you all know how jigsaws work! I photographed my progress along the way:
It took me about 2 and a half hours in total to complete the jigsaw (although I did have breaks!). The hardest part was the darker trees in the middle of the picture, because the pieces all looked very similar.
Doing a jigsaw was a nice cosy activity to do on an Autumnal afternoon, accompanied by several hot cups of tea. I was glad I managed to find an Autumnal themed jigsaw, to reflect how the trees are looking outside!
When was the last time you did a jigsaw?
Do you find jigsaws relaxing, or do you get bored or frustrated? Would you usually do a jigsaw on your own, or together with family? Let me know in the comments.
