The Mystery Blogger Award

I am very grateful to have been nominated for the Mystery Blogger Award by Kendra of Hearts and Houseshoes. Thank you so much Kendra for the nomination!

Do check out Kendra’s post about the Mystery Blogger Award, and have a look round the rest of her blog as well, because she writes fantastic blog posts on a whole range of topics!

Also check out Kendra’s other blog, Going Places with Kendra, which I discovered through her award post. I’m really liking the look of her posts on there!

What is the Mystery Blogger Award?

I had never heard of this award before, so it was a lovely surprise to be nominated for it! The award was created by Okoto Enigma and you can read about it on her blog. In short, this is how she describes it:

Mystery Blogger Award” is an award for amazing bloggers with ingenious posts. Their blog not only captivates; it inspires and motivates. They are one of the best out there, and they deserve every recognition they get. This award is also for bloggers who find fun and inspiration in blogging; and they do it with so much love and passion.

Award Rules

1: Put the award logo/image on your blog.

2: List the rules.

3: Thank whoever nominated you and provide a link to their blog.

4: Mention the creator of the award and provide a link as well.

5: Tell your readers 3 things about yourself.

6: Answer the questions that you were asked by whoever nominated you.

7: Nominate 10 – 20 people for the award.

8: Notify your nominees.

9: Ask your nominees any 5 questions of your choice, with one weird or funny question (specify).

10: Share a link to your best post(s).

You can complete these rules in any order.

3 things about myself

1: I look younger than my age – people frequently think I am 10 or more years younger than I am!

2: I used to write poetry as a child, and I recently got back into writing some more (check out the poetry category if you’d like to read some).

3: I ‘oil pull’ for 20 minutes every morning (If you don’t know what oil pulling is, read here).

Questions from Kendra of Hearts and Houseshoes

1: What was the reason behind starting your blog?

For a long time, I have written down my ideas, thoughts and discoveries on paper. I realised that I had a lot of material to share with the world, and a blog would be a great way to get my ideas out there! I am also hoping to make a source of income out of blogging, which will help me towards achieving other goals in my life.

2: What’s your favourite hobby?

Does reading count as a hobby? I enjoy reading books of many different genres, both fiction and non-fiction. I want to actually make more time for reading though, because at the moment I am acquiring books faster than I read them!

3: As a child, what did you dream of doing when you grew up?

I wanted to own and run a boarding school where the kids all learnt by having fun, rather than serious lessons, and had an amazing time! (I wasn’t keen on school!)

4: If you could vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go?

I would go back to Japan – I visited Tokyo in 2015 and had a great time, so I’d love to go back and see my friends who live there, and explore some other parts of Japan outside of the city.

5: And now, for my weird/funny question, what’s the worst line/lie you have ever heard?

Ah that’s a tough one! I’ve literally been thinking about this for about half an hour and can’t think of any! So I may have to come back to this one…

My 5 questions for my nominees:

1: What’s your favourite topic to blog about?

2: What’s your favourite song, or piece of music? If you don’t have a favourite, it could just be one you have enjoyed listening to recently.

5: What is your favourite form of exercise?

I just remembered that I am supposed to include a weird / funny question, so here’s a bonus one:

I look forward to reading your answers!
